In an effort to understand the multitude of needs of those in financial crisis, Remedee has been meeting with individuals and families to listen to their stories and explore their challenges. We have included some excerpts from these stories below.

Liz and DannyHe made $60,000 per year at Verizon, and was laid off. She wants to go back to school but can’t afford childcare for their five-year old twins. Their car was repossessed, their credit was ruined, and they moved in with their parents. They are “at wit’s end.” |

Dana and DanMade six-figure income, had perfect credit, and live in $500,000 house in gated community in Riverside. Both lost jobs within a week of each other. Dan has a post-doctorate degree, is an army vet, and has been a lawyer, a preacher, a college professor, and most recently, a fundraiser. He recently applied for jobs at Wal-Mart and Walgreen’s and was turned away. They filed from bankruptcy, are in foreclosure, and make $1500 per month on unemployment. |
