Community

A goal of The Remedee Center is to provide space for the community, constantly evolving as the needs of our community expand.  Among the many possibilities, our Community offering will devote space for Special Events (i.e. art shows, movie screenings, lectures), a Daycare Center, an Art Gallery, a Community Garden, and the Reel Earth Youth Center, an art and media center for youth.

The Remedee Center offers the following community services:

Kids and Teens: Daycare and Reel Earth Program

The Reel Earth program is designed to educate children and teenagers through digital media and film.  The Reel Earth Youth Center is an extension of Remedee’s first initiative to serve as both an outlet of positive expression and an agent for social change, empowering young people to become advocates for issues relevant to their experience.  The Reel Earth program encourages students to raise consciousness and to explore the connections between the impact of the environment and the reality of their lives.  This space will also feature an art gallery and film screenings for our young talent to showcase their work. The Remedee Center offers a free Daycare Center for clients as they begin the process of fulfilling their needs by utilizing the Center’s many services and programs.  Our daycare center is staffed with teachers, trained counselors, and experienced volunteers who will assist children with homework, perform after school activities, and create a safe, nurturing atmosphere for children to learn and have fun.

Special Events

The intention of our Community Center is to encourage and cultivate a sense of community.  In creating opportunities to network and socialize, this space will be used for a variety of Special Events, such as Film Screenings, Lectures with Guest Speakers, Book Signings, Art Shows, Plays, and Workshops. 

COMMUNITY Garden

The Remedee Center Community Garden is a calm, beautiful environment to rest, rejuvenate, and enjoy.  Additionally, the garden is used for educational purposes and special projects.  Children and adults have opportunities to learn about sustainable gardening practices and benefits.  Fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers grown in the garden is used for the Cafe.

CAFE

Our cafe features healthy, balanced meals in order to provide for those who need the nourishment and strength to continue with their process of finding solutions for their present circumstances.
