Career CENTER

The Remedee Center is dedicated to solution-driven programming and community events naturally setting the stage for innovative networking among clients.

• A wireless lounge provides a cozy environment to all members of the community, providing printers, scanners, fax machines, and computers if needed. 
• On-site technical advisers assist and train those looking to improve their skills, allowing clients to compete with the growing demand for technological skills.
• Expert career coaches are on site to help clients discover and emphasize their personal strengths in order to attract new opportunities and new  jobs. 
• Resume building/refining, ESL resources, and interview training/practice  are some of the services that will be integrated into our program according  to each individual’s needs.

The Remedee Center draws upon expert volunteers and our established partnerships with job agencies and other non profit organizations to provide a fresh, collaborative environment to bridge clients with the information most valuable to their current circumstances.

Green Jobs

In line with Mayor Villaraigosa's reform program for Los Angeles, a mainstay of the center is our work with agencies and programs involved in the green sector.  Clients receive training and are referred for work in the emerging areas of: solar power, wind power, natural gas & electric vehicles, green manufacturing, green housing/construction, and other related industries.

Microfinance, an empowering anti-poverty solution well-practiced in developing countries, is gaining traction here in the U.S. and in California. The lending of small amounts of capital to prospective entrepreneurs has had a powerful and self-sustaining capacity to transform lives while offering high rates of repayment. Partnering with U.S. microfinance institutions, The Remedee Center provides microfinance services for new, innovative ideas through microloans and small business support.
